This continual journey of reconciliation

between the ever-changing being that one is

and the fixed society one is a part of -

the society of prejudice, hate and assumption,

with unattainable standards, greedy motives and cruel means.

When I write

it’s to make sense, clarify and sort

all that noise.

Because it is the story that heals us.

But it’s the telling of the story that really gives peace a chance.

Because it’s in relating to others’ stories that we make bitter truths bearable.

We journey alone, but we are not alone.

What was it Ram Dass used to say? - Oh yeah!
